This week’s training run is on Saturday, September 7th at Columbia Island Marina, Sundar will be the coach.
 
PLEASE sign-up for each training run. Please click on the following link and enter your information. Please Sign Up by Thursday (9/5) at Noon.
 
Starting Time: Run starts at 7:00 AM.
 
Meeting Point: We will meet in the parking lot of Columbia Island Marina, accessible from the GW Parkway southbound, between Memorial Bridge and the 14th Street Bridge.

There is plenty of parking at the Marina.

Beware that you can only get into the entrance safely from the north. If you come onto the Parkway from Alexandria, or from the 14th Street Bridge, you will need to ride the spaghetti ramps near Memorial Bridge until you find the exit for "Alexandria - Reagan National Airport -Parkway South"

Distance: The scheduled distance is 12 miles for Full/Half Marathon trainees.
 
Full/Half marathoners (12 miles) will run out of CIM and turn north on Mount Vernon Trail to go upriver. We will run 1 mile and turn around at Memorial Bridge and run south towards Alexandria staying on the Mount Vernon Trail. We will run to Canal Center Plaza in Alexandria and turn around and return to CIM.
 
Aid stations: We will have an unmanned Aid Station that will be at the end of Gravelly Point Parking lot. The 2nd Aid Station will be at Marina Drive which will be the Half Marathon turn around point.
 
Full/Half Marathon Route will have aid at miles 3, 6, 8 and 10.5
