WTR Trainee Benefits and Obligation

 

Benefits to Trainees:

-  A guided progressive program of walking and running that requires no prior experience with running.

-  Certified and expert in-person coaching, with individual contact available for particular issues.

-  Health and fitness from regular exercise.

-  Benefits from MCC membership:

o   10% off purchases at local running stores;

o   Discounts on MCC races;

o   Reimbursement of First Aid and CPR training costs;

-  Fun and accomplishment!

Obligations of Trainees:

-  Payment of training program cost (recouping program costs, including insurance, and proceeds benefiting MCC partner charities).

-  Completion of trainee health and prior exercise questionnaire.

-  Participation in most Saturday workouts over 16 weeks.

-  Working out on one’s own *at least* two other times each week, over 16 weeks.

-  Completion of a target 5K race at the end of the training program.
