  1:00 - Marathon Charity Cooperation Charities - Nicholas Panebianco
    Mr. Panebianco is the President of Marathon Charity Cooperation (MCC) and a veteran of  
    49 marathons & 20 ultra-marathons.
  1:30 - Running & Hydration - John Steitz
    Mr. Steitz is an MCC coach and veteran of several dozen marathons.
  2:00 - Improving your Running with Kinetic Exercises - Walt Cline
     Mr. Cline is a volunteer assistant track & field coach at the University of Virginia. Cline is
     a movement and sport science specialist.
  2:45 - Cross Country Running Success - Ian Hankins
     Mr. Hankins is the men's cross-country coach at Potomac State College in Keyser
   West Virginia. He built the Catamounts' program into championship level in just one year. 
  3:30 - Injury Prevention for Runners

Dr. Jaclyn Polk

      Dr. Polk is an orthopedic and sports physical therapist for Physio in Reston, Virginia. Her       passion for long distance running and her knowledge of injury rehabilitation have led her
      to become a running gait coach with Physio's running program. 
  4:15 - The Joy of RunningDr. Ashis Roy
    Dr. Roy is an eminent cardiologist from Delhi, India, the first citizen of India to run 100    
    marathons. 
  4:30 - Running the Alexandria Running Festival Courses - John Steitz
    Mr. Steitz is an MCC coach and veteran of several dozen marathons.
 
6:00 PM - Pasta Dinner
Guest Speaker – Wilson KomenMr. Komen was born and raised in Kenya — the home of running. He is a Certified Coach with the Road Runners Club of America, skilled in road running and has a passion for helping others reach their goals and improve their performances while running injury-free.

Aid Stations
  • Four aid stations along the course
  • 5K runners pass an aid station twice
  • Half-marathoners pass aid stations eight times (approximately every 1.5 miles)
  • Each aid station has water and Gatorade
  • First aid, course marshals, and EMS bike support on the course as well
